Wall Street opens lower on economy worries

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks opened lower on Friday after disappointing trade data from China and the scrapping of a large U.S. IPO fed into fears about the economy, putting the S&P 500 and Dow industrials on track for a sixth straight week of declines.

The Dow Jones industrial average lost 51.73 points, or 0.43 percent, to 12,072.63. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 5.53 points, or 0.43 percent, to 1,283.47. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 8.59 points, or 0.32 percent, to 2,676.28.
