Stocks open higher; Greece aid nearer


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks opened higher on Tuesday as Greece appeared to be making progress toward a resolution on aid from the European Union.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 45.19 points, or 0.43 percent, at 10,448.98. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 5.12 points, or 0.46 percent, at 1,120.83. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 10.01 points, or 0.44 percent, at 2,283.58.
