Wall Street rises further after home sales data


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose further on Friday, with the major indexes up more than 1 percent, after data showed sales of used homes in the U.S. rose more than expected in July.

    The Dow Jones industrial average rose 119.03 points, or 1.27 percent, to 9,469.08. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index added 14.77 points, or 1.47 percent, to 1,022.14. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 22.58 points, or 1.14 percent, to 2,011.80.
