Lawmakers endorse centre-left Cerar as Slovenian PM
Winner of a July snap election, Cerar has indicated he may re-work a plan to cut Slovenia's budget deficit and disentangle the state from the economy, which was agreed with the European Union after the ex-Yugoslav republic narrowly avoided an international bailout for its debt-laden banks late last year.
Cerar, 51, is wrapping up coalition talks with the pensioners' party Desus and the centre-left Social Democrats and has 15 days to present his cabinet for parliamentary approval.
