Centre-right seen ahead in Czech vote - 30 percent counted


    PRAGUE (Reuters) - The left-wing Social Democrats lead the Czech parliamentary election with 23.9 percent of the vote but centre right parties have a majority, results showed on Saturday after 30.3 percent of the vote was counted.

    The Czech Statistical Office said the main right-wing party, the Civic Democrats, had 18.6 percent. Their potential allies, the conservative TOP09, had 14.4 percent, and the centrist Public Affairs had 10.9 percent.

    Seat allocation was not available but the results indicated the centre-right would have a majority in parliament.
