Yanukovich 1st in Ukraine vote, Tymoshenko 2nd - exit polls


    KIEV (Reuters) - Ukrainian opposition leader Viktor Yanukovich led in a presidential poll on Sunday while Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko was in second place, two exit polls said.

    An exit poll by ICTV gave Yanukovich 35.06 percent of the vote while Tymoshenko had 25.72 percent.

    A separate poll by the National Exit Poll consortium gave Yanukovich 31.5 percent and Tymoshenko 27.2 percent.

    The trend, if confirmed, means Yanukovich and Tymoshenko will face each other in a run-off vote on February 7.
