Nigerian forces say have retaken northeastern border town of Baga

LAGOS (Reuters) - Nigerian forces are now in full control of Baga after an offensive on Saturday to retake the town from Boko Haram, the military said.

"We have secured Baga. We are now in full control. There are only mopping up exercises left to do," Defence Spokesman Major-General Chris Olukolade said by telephone.
