Pirates hijack oil tanker off Oman - EU



    MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Pirates firing rocket propelled grenades and small arms hijacked a Kuwaiti-owned oil tanker bound for Singapore from Sudan on Monday, the European Union's anti-piracy taskforce said.

    "At approximately 0900 GMT (10 a.m. British time) on 28 March, the Crude Oil Tanker the MV ZIRKU was pirated approximately 250 nautical miles South East of Salalah in the eastern part of the Gulf of Aden," EU Navfor said on its website.
