Strong quake hits off Indonesia's Irian Jaya



    SINGAPORE (Reuters) - A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck off Indonesia's Irian Jaya region on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

    The agency earlier put the magnitude at 7.4. An Indonesian meteorological agency issued a local tsunami warning soon after the quake.
