Tsunami warning for Hawaii is lifted

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - The tsunami warning issued for the U.S. state of Hawaii following a massive earthquake in Chile has been lifted, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said on Saturday.

The warning centre said on its website that based on all available data, there is no longer a destructive tsunami threat to the state.

It also said some coastal areas in Hawaii may still experience sea level changes or strong currents lasting for several more hours.
