Circuit City to liquidate


    (Reuters) - Circuit City Stores Inc announced on Friday that it will liquidate.

    Highlights:

    * Says does not anticipate any value will remain from the bankruptcy estate for

    the holders of its common equity

    * Says will provide more details in near term about plans for liquidation of

    stores, other assets, status of Canadian operations
