Fox to Produce a Pilot of Dori Media´s Telenovela "LaLola" for the United States



    Dori Media Group ("Dori Media" or "DMG") (LSE:DMG), the international media company active in the field of television, with a focus on production, distribution, broadcasting and merchandising of Telenovela, is pleased to announce that Fox Broadcasting Company ("Fox"), a leading US TV network, has agreed to produce a pilot based on the successful series "LaLola", which was produced and distributed by DMG.

    In February, Dori Media announced that it had signed a contract with Sony Pictures Television ("Sony") in the United States for the rights to the "LaLola" format.

    On behalf of Sony, Kevin Falls, one of the producers of Emmy award–winning series "˜The West Wing´ will be executive producer of "Lalola" and responsible for writing the series, the format of which will be adapted for the North American audience.

    The decision of Fox to produce the pilot of "Lalola" for the US market further illustrates the international success of "˜LaLola´. Since it was first broadcast in Argentina less than a year ago, "Lalola" has been sold to more than 52 countries including France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Chile and Vietnam.

    "Lalola" is produced by Dori Media Contenidos, a subsidiary of the Dori Media Group, and is based on an idea by Sebastian Ortega for Underground Productions. "Lalola" tells the story of Lalo, a man who wakes up one morning in the body of a woman, Lola, and is forced to deal with the new and challenging life this entails. The telenovela was recently nominated in 16 categories for the 2008 Martin Fierro Awards, which will be held this month in Buenos Aires. The Martin Fierro Awards ceremony, organized by APTRA, the Association of Argentine Television and Radio Journalists, is one of Argentina´s most prestigious ceremonies and has been held annually for the last 49 years.
