Coty Products Safe and Meet All EU Legal Requirements

Coty Inc. today assured consumers that all of its
products are safe and meet the stringent requirements of the European
Union Scientific Advisory Committee, including the Greenpeace-targeted
David Beckham line of Instinct fragrances. Their June 16 analytical
    report covered 12 fragrances, worldwide.
"We consistently monitor the safety of our products," said Vice
President Quality Assurance, International, Hans-Jurgen Weissgraeber.
"Our assessment systems have confirmed that all of these products are
entirely safe and well within regulatory limits."
Coty has conducted laboratory tests to evaluate Greenpeace claims
concerning traces above detectable amounts of Diethylhexylphthalate
(DEHP) in David Beckham deodorant spray. These trace amounts were well
below regulatory limits and safe for consumers.
DEHP is not an ingredient in any Coty product. Legally-compliant
traces of the compound may appear in fragranced products as a result
of the manufacturing process. Coty's inspection systems constantly
monitor and evaluate for opportunities to further improve product
    quality and consumer safety.
