UBmatrix Announces Beta Release of XBRL Taxonomy Designer; Formerly Called ``Automator'', UBmatrix(TM) XBRL Taxonomy Designer Gets a New Name along with Key New Features Supporting XBRL Dimensions and Business Rules
On the eve of the XBRL International conference in
Madrid, UBmatrix, a leading provider of software and services
leveraging the global XBRL standard, announced the beta release of
UBmatrix(TM) XBRL Taxonomy Designer version 2.5. The new name and
versioning happens in conjunction with the renaming of the company's
application integration platform and solutions of XBRL software
applications, now called UBmatrix(TM) Enterprise Application Suite
v2.5.
"UBmatrix has always seen itself as an innovator, so including
additional support for business rules and dimensions was high on our
priority list," added Sunir Kapoor, President and CEO of UBmatrix. "In
addition, we changed several of our product names including the name
of Automator to UBmatrix(TM) XBRL Taxonomy Designer. We wanted the
broad scope of our platform to be more evident in our naming strategy.
Now, our licensed software products have been brought together under
one platform called UBmatrix(TM) Enterprise Application Suite.
Feedback from customers and the market suggests this was the right
thing to do."
UBmatrix(TM) XBRL Taxonomy Designer has been the tool of choice in
creating many of the world's most visible XBRL taxonomies. Included
among them are IFRS-GP Taxonomy, US Financial Reporting Taxonomy
Framework (USFRTF), UK GAAP, taxonomies for the Netherlands,
Singapore, and New Zealand, the KOSDAQ taxonomy, Sumitomo Mitsui Bank
letter of credit taxonomy, US SEC certification taxonomy, Microsoft 8K
report taxonomy, the US FFIEC Call Report taxonomies, and the European
Credit Risk Assessment Services (CRAS) taxonomy.
"UBmatrix XBRL Taxonomy Designer is simply the most robust
taxonomy design tool on the market," commented Mr. Charles Hoffman,
known as the "Father of XBRL" and Director of Industry Solutions in
Finance, at UBmatrix. "Not only does Taxonomy Designer support the
latest specifications from XBRL International, it now supports
dimensions and complex business rules, features that will become part
of nearly all taxonomies. I tend to be our development team's most
demanding customer and I must say I am pleased with this release. If

About UBmatrix
UBmatrix provides a platform and application solutions for making
data portable; freeing data from the applications which originally
created it. Offering both licensed software and software as a service
on the Internet, UBmatrix solutions help automate the process of
exchanging information using eXtensible Business Reporting Language
(XBRL), the next evolutionary stage of XML. Using our platform,
organizations can move data freely among applications within an
enterprise, between business partners, and to regulators without
losing the semantic meaning of the data. Benefits include increased
operational and financial transparency, cost savings in sharing data
both inside and outside the organization, and greater confidence in
reporting accuracy and regulatory compliance.
UBmatrix has been committed to XBRL since 1998. We are recognized
worldwide for our thought leadership, technology, and customer
commitment.
