SailPoint IdentityNow Receives Certification from ServiceNow
SailPoint, the leader in identity and access management, today announced it has received certification of its integration between the SailPoint IdentityNowTMSingle Sign-On (SSO) service and ServiceNow®. To achieve the ServiceNow certification, the IdentityNow SSO service had to successfully complete a set of defined tests focused on integration interoperability, security and performance. The SAML-based integration between ServiceNow and the IdentityNow SSO service allows users to login to ServiceNow without having to remember individual passwords, which will greatly reduce the number of support calls – ultimately making the IT department more efficient and supporting better security practices across the organization.
“Dedicating the resources to attain this certification by ServiceNow is just another example of SailPoint’s commitment to integrating identity into the broader IT ecosystem, and especially cloud-based services,” said Paul Trulove, VP of product marketing at SailPoint. “Clearly, the cloud is a major game-changer for how enterprises deploy mission-critical infrastructure. But, as rapidly as companies are adopting SaaS infrastructure, it’s important to make sure that proper IAM controls are in place. Many of our IdentityNow customers and prospects are already using ServiceNow, so it was important that IdentityNow be able to seamlessly create a single system of record for enterprise IT while simplifying the end users experience.”
Delivered as a cloud service with no hardware or software to deploy, SailPoint IdentityNow provides fully integrated IAM for compliance, provisioning and access management. IdentityNow provides enterprise-grade services that meet security, scalability, performance, and availability demands. The SailPoint IdentityNow SSO service provides convenient and secure access to web, cloud and mobile applications from any device by eliminating the need for users to remember and enter multiple user names and passwords. At the same time, it empowers IT to enforce appropriate levels of security policy and controls by enforcing policies governing "who should have access" to "how that access is actually being used," in a centralized view.
Additional ServiceNow certifications are being completed for other IdentityNow services as well as SailPoint IdentityIQTM.
