Sportgenic? Expands Its Sales Initiatives in Europe and the Middle East From London
Sportgenicâ„¢ (formerly Active Athlete), a
media and technology company dedicated to connecting marketers with
sport enthusiasts, announced it has expanded its business to serve
advertisers and publishers throughout Europe and the Middle East.
Sportgenic has retained Steve Masters to drive this initiative directly
from London. Masters has over 20 years experience in sales and
management, including the past three years with Cycling.TV, a
London-based broadband television station dedicated to promoting cycling
to fans around the world.
In recent months, Sportgenic´s network of
publishers has grown to more than 250 member Web sites, moving ahead of
well-established competition. Specifically, the company has seen an
increase in European-based sports sites including 3athlon.de
BMX-Forum.com, Cycling.tv and Letour.com. Many of Sportgenic´s
other sites, such as Ironman.com, have large European audiences.
Sportgenic currently reports more than four million unique European
users, compared to 20+ million in the United States, and expects to see
that number grow as more advertisers and publishers in Europe and the
Middle East join Sportgenic´s network.
"Sports enthusiasts are everywhere, and we
believe Europe and the Middle East represent an untapped market for both
our current and prospective advertisers," said Robert Tas, CEO of Sportgenic. "This is
part of our continuous growth plan to extend Sportgenic´s
capabilities around the world. We´ll be
dedicated to serving advertisers and publishers throughout the region
as well as establishing significant, new customer relationships."
