CONTECH Acquires European Rights to CDS Technology

CONTECH Construction Products Inc. announced today that it has
acquired the European SurfSep license, which includes the intellectual
property assets and selling rights for the stormwater runoff market.

SurfSep´s stormwater technology, more commonly known as CDS
(Continuous Deflection Separation) has been owned in the United States
by CONTECH since 2006, but was previously offered by Copa Ltd. in
    Europe.

"We added the CDS technology to our offering in the United States
to provide our customers with the most comprehensive selection of
stormwater products available," said Rick Stepien, president of
CONTECH Stormwater Solutions Inc. "As we looked into expanding our
business globally, we were committed to bringing that same best in
class offering to our customers wherever their geographic location
might be. Coupled with our Vortechs, StormFilter and CON/SPAN product
lines, the new European rights to CDS allow us to do that."

CDS stormwater products will be sold throughout Europe by CONTECH
and its sales representatives. "The European Union´s Water Framework
Directive will create demand for stormwater treatment technologies
throughout Europe," said Stepien. "CONTECH is now ready to respond
with a proven technology already established in the United Kingdom,
    Ireland and France."
