Wall St down on Europe concerns

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell on Wednesday, led lower by energy stocks, after a sliding euro and rising Italian bond yields heightened concerns about Europe's debt crisis, curbing investors' appetite for risky assets.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down 109.14 points, or 0.91 percent, at 11,845.80. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 12.45 points, or 1.02 percent, at 1,213.28. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 40.32 points, or 1.56 percent, at 2,538.95.
