General Mills profit up on price increases



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - General Mills Inc reported a higher quarterly profit on Wednesday, helped by price increases.

    The maker of Cheerios cereal and Progresso soups said net income was $320.2 million, or 48 cents per share, in the fourth quarter ended on May 29, up from $211.9 million, or 31 cents per share, a year earlier.

    Sales rose to $3.63 billion from $3.53 billion.
