Treasury expects $6.3 billion from MetLife offering


    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Treasury on Wednesday said it expects to receive gross proceeds of $6.3 billion from the sale of shares in MetLife Inc by American International Group.

    The Treasury in a statement said a total of 146.8 million share of MetLife common shares were sold in an offering at $43.25 per share.
