Amazon fourth-quarter revenue up 36 percent



    SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc on Thursday posted a 36 percent rise in revenue, just shy of analysts' targets, on higher profit in its key holiday quarter.

    Net income in the global online retailer's fourth quarter was $416 million, or 91 cents per share, from $384 million, or 85 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue was $12.95 billion.
