Mtron Launches New SSD Product Lines at 'IFA 2007'

Mtron Co., Ltd, a manufacturer of Flash Solid State Drive (F-SSD)
products in South Korea, announced today that they launched three new
solid state drive products lineup at IFA 2007 in Berlin, Germany from
August 31 to September 5, known as the top multimedia exhibition in
the world. (Booth #511, Hall 4.1)

Mtron's three new solid state drive products featuring MSD, MSD
PRO and MSD XTM are fully optimized for consumer purposes, server
applications and industrial purposes. Mtron's new SSD products are
scheduled to begin mass production in September.

These new Mtron SSD products provide the highest performance by
featuring a maximum read/write speed of 120 MB/s and 90 MB/s, random
access time of 0.1 ms, which means that they are 3 to 4 times faster
than existing HDDs and 30-40% faster than other SSD products in the
market.

The new MSD product lineup is intended for consumer purposes,
featuring 2.5/3.5 inch SATA with capacities of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
Mtron will also introduce 1.8 inch form factor and 128GB capacity in
the 4th quarter of the year in order to provide more efficient battery
life and higher stability for notebook computers.

The new MSD PRO product lineup is intended for server
applications, featuring higher durability and stability by minimizing
the number of bad blocks. Also unlike current server hard disks, it
provides enhanced-security features such as secure erase and write
protection to provide higher data security and optimization for the
server applications.

The new MSD XTM product lineup is intended for industrial
purposes. It is built with special components to operate in extreme
temperatures from -40 to +85 degrees, providing the maximum durability
against the outside environment.
