Cuisine Solutions Increases Focus on the Spanish Market in Europe
Cuisine Solutions, Inc. (AMEX:FZN) announced today that it has
established a sales focus and a business presence based in Madrid,
Spain. "Many of the most innovative and creative chefs in the world
are coming from Spain," commented CEO Stanislas Vilgrain. "Cuisine
Solutions food sells best in areas where people truly appreciate high
quality, and we believe that Spain is one of those places."
Named one of the top 10 chefs in the world, Spain's superstar chef
Andoni Luis Aduriz has been working in consultation with Cuisine
Solutions to develop a new line of sous vide cooked products
specifically for this market. Among other things, Chef Aduriz is the
chef/owner of the Michelin two star restaurant Mugaritz in San
Sebastian, Spain. Cuisine Solutions will release a product catalog in
September for the Spanish market for food service professionals based
on this collaboration
The entity will be managed by Cuisine Solutions' new head of sales
for Europe, Jose-Luis Herrera Cames. Mr. Herrera Cames has been an
advisor to Cuisine Solutions for the last two years, and he has run
the operations of several international companies prior to coming to
Cuisine Solutions, including Prezioso SAS, France and Internacional de
Equipos Clinicos SA, Spain. "The experience that Mr. Herrera Cames
brings will not only pay dividends for Spain, but throughout Europe.
We are very excited to have him heading sales for our team," added Mr.
Vilgrain.
Cuisine Solutions utilizes the "Sous-Vide" technology and methods
which means that the products, such as Lamb Shank with Rosemary Mint
sauce, Seared Tilapia with Lemon and Green Peppercorn sauce, or Veal
Osso Buco, are vacuum sealed and then slowly cooked at very low
temperatures immersed in water. The science behind Sous-Vide cooking
involves knowing the precise time and temperature that food changes
molecular structure. This enables Cuisine Solutions to cook the food
for optimum taste, color, and texture. The result is restaurant
quality food every time. The Company's Sous-Vide process also
pasteurizes the product and kills all vegetative forms of bacteria,
and as the food is sealed in a bag, it is not handled after it is
cooked -- until you open it to heat and serve. As the products are
immediately flash-frozen, there is no need for preservatives in the
product. Most of the Cuisine Solutions products have a guaranteed 18
month shelf life.
Cuisine Solutions' premium, fully cooked, frozen entrees and
sauces are sold in retail stores as well as to hotels, convention
centers, sporting venues, first class on airlines, trains, and ships,
