Western Union Increases Philippines Footprint



    The Western Union Company (NYSE: WU) today announced it has added
    approximately 600 locations to its Philippines Agent network with the
    signing of two new Agents, further strengthening Western Union's
    leading position in the country.

    Direct Agent 5, Inc (DA-5) and JPT Central Corporate Holding &
    Management Corporation, (JPT), join the existing four Agents already
    in the Philippines, bringing the total number of Western Union
    locations to in excess of 6,000.

    The new Agents reflect Western Union's ongoing commitment to offer
    fast, reliable and convenient money transfer services by providing
    country-wide access for customers. JPT has more than 100 years'
    heritage in the Philippine market, while DA-5, a recently formed
    consortium of three corporations, has a combined 60 years' expertise.
    Both DA-5 and JPT have extensive, trusted and well-established
    networks that reach throughout the Philippines. These Agent networks
    are now fully operational throughout the Philippines.
