Wall Street tripped up by profit taking
The decline came after a sharp advance in Friday's session, when better-than-expected July employment data pushed the broad S&P 500 to a 10-month high.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell 77.46 points, or 0.83 percent, to 9,292.61. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index lost 9.45 points, or 0.94 percent, to 1,001.03. The Nasdaq Composite Index slid 20.68 points, or 1.03 percent, to 1,979.57.
