Levi Strauss & Co. Names President of European Division



    Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&CO.) today announced that Armin Broger, the
    CEO of jeans company 7 For All Mankind Europe BV, is joining LS&CO. at
    the end of February as president of its European division. Broger, a
    seasoned apparel and brand management executive, has a track record of
    driving profitable growth for companies such as Tommy Hilfiger, Diesel
    and The Walt Disney Company.

    As CEO of 7 For All Mankind in Europe, Broger has spearheaded the
    international expansion of the California denim brand. Prior to
    joining 7 For All Mankind, he was the chief operating officer of Tommy
    Hilfiger Europe, Middle East and Africa for four years, where he
    repositioned the European business to better address the needs of
    consumers and helped grow its several divisions to more than EUR 400
    million. From 1998 to 2001, Broger was General Manager of Diesel
    worldwide. In that role, he and his team doubled the company's
    revenues and led a successful turnaround of the U.S. subsidiary. He
    also helped create Diesel's global business infrastructure, resulting
    in a multi-brand fashion conglomerate with distinctive retail concepts
    and licensing partnerships.

    His previous experience includes The Walt Disney Company,
    advertising agency McCann Erickson and the consulting firm Bain &
    Company. He also serves on the Board of Lego A/S.

    A native of Italy, Broger holds an MBA from the University of
    Notre Dame and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration.
