Wall Street edges higher for second day



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose for a second day in a choppy session on Thursday with technology and consumer discretionary stocks leading the way after upbeat earnings.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 8.10 points, or 0.07 percent, to end unofficially at 12,402.76. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 5.22 points, or 0.40 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,325.69. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 21.54 points, or 0.78 percent, to close unofficially at 2,782.92.
