Wall Street weighed down by banks



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks fell on Monday as investors booked profits in financials after a two-month run-up and news of several share offerings heightened worries about their dilutive impact on current shareholders.

    SAP's reassuring comments limit tech losses

    The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 154.92 points, or 1.81 percent, to close unofficially at 8,419.73. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 19.80 points, or 2.13 percent, to 909.43. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 7.76 points, or 0.45 percent, to 1,731.24.
