Wall Street extends losses after Fed minutes

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Major stock indexes extended losses on Tuesday after minutes from the latest Federal Reserve meeting showed policymakers appear less keen to launch a fresh round of monetary stimulus as the economy improves.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 92.98 points, or 0.70 percent, to 13,171.51. The S&P 500 Index dropped 10.29 points, or 0.73 percent, to 1,408.75. The Nasdaq Composite lost 12.26 points, or 0.39 percent, to 3,107.44.
