Wall Street adds to gains


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - The S&P 500 rose more than 1 percent and the Dow and Nasdaq added to gains in Friday morning trade, with industrials and other sectors sensitive to economic growth leading the way higher.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 86.09 points, or 0.73 percent, at 11,954.90. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 13.98 points, or 1.15 percent, at 1,229.73. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 39.37 points, or 1.55 percent, at 2,580.38.
