Wall Street off on Europe debt woes, Gap slides



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell on Friday, weighed down by euro-zone debt worries, and retailers lost ground after a weak profit outlook from Gap.

    The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 93.28 points, or 0.74 percent, to end unofficially at 12,512.04. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 10.33 points, or 0.77 percent, to finish unofficially at 1,333.27. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 19.99 points, or 0.71 percent, to close unofficially at 2,803.32.

    For the week, the Dow fell 0.67 percent, the S&P slipped down 0.34 percent and the Nasdaq lost 0.89 percent.
