Woman suicide bomber kills 25 in Iraq


    KERBALA, Iraq (Reuters) - A female suicide bomber killed 25 people and wounded 16 in a rare attack in the holy Shi'ite city of Kerbala in southern Iraq, police and health officials said on Monday.

    The attack took place in a cafe in the centre of the cityclose to Shi'ite shrines, among the holiest sites in Shi'iteIslam, police said. Provincial governor Aqeel Khazali confirmedthat a woman had carried out the bombing but had no furtherdetails.
