Woman suicide bomber kills five in holy Iraqi city


    KERBALA, Iraq (Reuters) - A female suicide bomber killed five people and wounded nine in a rare attack in the holy Shi'ite city of Kerbala in southern Iraq, police said on Monday.

    The attack took place in a cafe in the centre of the cityclose to Shi'ite shrines, among the holiest sites in Shi'iteIslam, police said. Provincial governor Aqeel Khazali confirmedthat a woman had carried out the bombing but had no furtherdetails.
