Centre-right seen ahead in Czech vote - exit poll


    PRAGUE (Reuters) - Czech centre-right parties have won a majority in a general election, an exit poll showed after ballot stations closed on Saturday.

    The main right-wing party, the Civic Democrats, had 20 percent, according to the exit poll released by Czech Television, exactly the same as the left-wing Social Democrats.

    The conservative TOP09 had 17 percent, centrist Public Affairs had 11 percent, and the centrist Christian Democrats 5 percent, the poll showed. The hard-left Communists had 11 percent. Actual election results are expected to come in throughout Saturday afternoon and evening.
