Kenya court rules Kenyatta validly elected president

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya's chief justice said on Saturday that the six-member Supreme Court had taken a unanimous decision that Uhuru Kenyatta was validly elected president, after the result was challenged by defeated candidate Raila Odinga.

"It is the decision that the third and fourth respondents were validly elected," Chief Justice Willy Mutunga said in court, referring to Kenyatta and his running mate and deputy president William Ruto.
