Car bomb rips through market in southern Iraq



    BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A car bomb ripped through a crowded market in southern Iraq, near the city of Nassariya, on Wednesday, police said.

    The death toll was not immediately clear but hospital sources said more than a dozen people appeared to have been killed in the blast in Al-Bathaa, 30 km (20 miles) west of Nassariya.
