Several hurt by gunfire near Kabul palace


    KABUL (Reuters) - Gunfire broke out near the presidential palace in the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday and several people were wounded, a security official said.

    The incident occurred when Afghan security forces exchanged fire while chasing a group of Taliban insurgents, he said.
