Wall St futures mixed as economic worries persist

(Reuters) - Wall Street futures are mixed with Dow Jones futures down 0.2 percent at 5:40 a.m. EDT, S&P 500 futures down 0.3 percent and Nasdaq futures up 0.6 percent. The Dow, S&P and Nasdaq fell 0.2, 0.5 and 1.1 percent respectively on Wednesday.

* Traders welcomed the Senate passing the plan to bail out US banks but pointed to the risk it may not be passed by Congress, and also to persistent fundamental economic weakness.

* Shares in ImClone Systems jumped 8 percent in Frankfurt after sources familiar with the situation said the company was in talks to be bought by Eli Lilly and Co . Lilly shares were up 1.15 percent in Frankfurt

* Drinks maker Constellation Brands was set to report second-quarter earnings: expected to rise to 44 cents a share from 35 cents a share a year ago.

* Hotel operator Marriott is expected to post a rise in third-quarter earnings to 32 cents a share from 31 cents a year ago.

* Macro data: durable goods orders at 10:00 a.m. EDT, jobless claims at 8:30 a.m. EDT.

* Micron Technology Inc shares fell 10.5 percent in Frankfurt after it reported on Wednesday that its quarterly loss doubled as sales slowed and prices fell in the face of a memory chip supply glut.
