European G20 leaders to meet ahead of London summit



    PARIS (Reuters) - European leaders from G20 nations will meet in Berlin in the coming weeks to draw up a joint approach ahead of a full G20 summit on the financial crisis in April, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Thursday.

    The G20 summit he will be held in London in April and will assess pledges to assist the world economy made at a summit in Washington last year.

    Sarkozy, speaking following talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said France and Germany had also agreed to work together to see how they could help their struggling car sectors.
