Clariant Completes Sale of Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals



    After fulfilment of local transfer requirements and
    approval of all relevant authorities, Clariant (SWX:CLN) has completed
    the sale of its Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals unit to TowerBrook
    Capital Partners, L.P. on June 30th 2006 for a transaction value of
    CHF 110 million.
    The Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals unit, part of the Life Science
    Chemicals Division, is subsequently reported as discontinued
