    Passenger traffic figures

    In May 2008, Aéroports de Paris recorded an increase of 6.7% in passengers traffic compared with May 2007. Paris airports handled 7.7 million passengers divided up between 5.4 million for Paris–Charles de Gaulle (+7.2%) and 2.3 million passengers for Paris–Orly (+5.6%).

    This month of May has been marked in particular by the favourable impact of spring holidays return flights and a positive comparison basis. Traffic for the five first months of the year was up 3% year on year.

    Traffic figures for May 2008 were marked by an increase on European and international routes.

    Domestic traffic stood at –1.8%. European traffic grew by 6.9% thanks to the increase on Schengen routes (+ 7.6%). The British and Irish markets recorded a slight decrease of 1.1%.

    Traffic on the other international routes increased by 12%. The North and Latin American markets rose by 9%. The African market grew by 17.3%. A 10.7% increase was recorded on routes to and from Asia and the Middle East.

    Aircraft movements

    The number of aircraft movements increased by 2.7% in May 2008 year on year (+4.1% at Paris–Charles de Gaulle and –0.6% at Paris–Orly). The passenger load factor reached 67.28% in May 2008 compared with 73.47% in May 2007.
