Idiom Technologies and acrolinx GmbH Expand Strategic Partnership
Idiom(R) Technologies, Inc. (Idiom), the leading independent
supplier of SaaS and on-premise server-based globalization management
systems (GMS), and acrolinx GmbH, the leading producer of quality
assurance tools for technical information, today announced the signing
of an OEM partnership. This collaboration unites two powerful forces
in information development and localization tools, providing customers
with integrated terminology lifecycle management - from authoring
through localization.
Under the new agreement, Idiom will OEM acrolinx technology as
part of WorldServer to give customers terminology lifecycle management
in a single end-to-end solution for term validation, maintenance and
usage processes. The initial Idiom WorldServer and Acrolinx
acrocheck(TM) product integration will continue to provide accurate
and consistent content reuse, reduce translation time and costs,
improve quality and minimize the liabilities of poor translations.
"This partnership is the result of customer-driven requests for
end-to-end terminology lifecycle management", said Mike Iacobucci,
president and CEO of Idiom Technologies. "This is just the beginning
of a long-lasting relationship that brings the information and
localization communities together to offer an outstanding solution to
customers. Through one vendor, our mutual customers can now save time
and costs by accessing clean, consistent and accurate source content,
achieving the linguistic quality assurance we believe is paramount to
any globalization management system."
Andrew Bredenkamp, acrolinx CEO agrees: "We know, and our
customers confirm, that managing terminology quality and consistency
at the source can result in substantial improvements in translation
processes, with impressive reductions in cost and time-to-market."
