Wall Street rallies for sixth day


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rallied for a sixth straight day on Tuesday after Alcoa Inc's quarterly results heartened investors that had fled to the sidelines on jitters about the economic recovery.

    Based on the latest available figures, the Dow Jones industrial average gained 146.75 points, or 1.44 percent, to 10,363.02. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 16.51 points, or 1.53 percent, to 1,095.26. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 43.67 points, or 1.99 percent, to 2,242.03.
