AT&T subscriber growth weak without iPhone exclusive


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - AT&T Inc posted weak subscriber growth in the first quarter as it gave up exclusive U.S. rights to sell the Apple Inc iPhone.

    The No. 2 U.S. mobile service provider said earnings rose to $3.4 billion, or 57 cents a share, from $2.5 billion, or 41 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue rose 2.3 percent to $31.2 billion.
