European International Airport Orders Socomec Flywheel for UPS Energy Storage

Pentadyne Power Corporation (www.pentadyne.com), the world's
leading commercial manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using
advanced composite flywheel technology, announced today that their
European OEM distributor - UPS manufacturer Socomec (www.socomec.com)
- had received an order for a Socomec VSS+DC flywheel system to be
deployed at a major international European airport.

Pentadyne is the original equipment manufacturer of the Socomec
VSS+DC clean energy storage system. Socomec markets the VSS+DC
internationally for use with their DELPHYS three-phase uninterruptible
power supply systems rated from 60 to 800 kVA.

"Just a few weeks ago, we announced the commissioning of another
Pentadyne-made flywheel at the San Jose International Airport," said
Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough. "So we are pleased to learn
that the officials at this much larger airport also recognize the
great reliability and cost-cutting enhancements of our clean energy
storage systems."

Pentadyne-made flywheel energy storage systems are used as a
supplement to increase the reliability of conventional UPS lead-acid
battery banks, or to entirely eliminate them and their associated
recurring costs, frequent maintenance issues, poor reliability and
environmental impact. Last October, Socomec's combined DELPHYS UPS and
flywheel power certainty solution was named the UPS Product Innovation
of the Year by Frost & Sullivan, one of the world's leading business
and industry analysis firms.

Socomec will be exhibiting its UPS and flywheel systems at the 9th
International Electrical Power Quality & Utilisation Conference
(www.epqu2007.com) being held tomorrow through October 11 in
Barcelona. A representative of Socomec will present tomorrow at the
conference on "Advances in energy-efficient, power quality and energy
storage, and implications for utility grid frequency stabilization."
