New York, NY (December 3, 2009) – In today’s technological era, every aspect of a person’s life can now be documented on any number of social networking sites. The smallest details of one’s life, such as what you eat or daily errands are fodder for “updates” on sites such as Facebook and Twitter. So it’s no surprise that people should be able to share and update their personal fitness achievements.
PumpOne, the creators of the revolutionary iPhone App, FitnessBuilder, introduce their most exciting update yet: version 2.2, FitnessBuilder SOCIAL, the world’s first workout sharing system available exclusively in the iTunes App Store starting December 1st.
Share Your Workouts
Not only does FitnessBuilder SOCIAL allow users to make their own workouts and access over 500 pre-made sessions (available in largest content workout library), but now they will be able to send and receive those challenging workouts to and from their family, friends and clients, creating an endless amount of fitness programs to choose from. FitnessBuilder has evolved into the world’s first user-generated workout-sharing system – all in the palm of your hand.
By tapping a workout’s SHARE icon, users can send it to anyone, complete with their own target intensities (reps/sets/weight), as well as personal instructions. A “Challenge” message such as “I Challenge You” or “Improve This Workout” is selected, then the user simply taps “Send.” The workout is then immediately available for download on the recipient’s FitnessBuilder, or a convenient link to the App Store is emailed for the user to download FitnessBuilder – from which the user can download the workout.
When someone receives a shared workout, they are able to view a picture of who sent it along with the workout information and instructions. A recipient can even re-share a workout, initiating a social fitness viral effort to spread what workouts challenged – and changed them the most. When a Shared workout is completed, the sender receives an email notification along with the completed workout’s log, so progress can be monitored.
Post Your Workouts to Facebook & Twitter
FitnessBuilder SOCIAL users can now link workouts to Facebook and Twitter. At the end of each workout, users can “post” and “tweet” their completed workout status to their Facebook Wall and/or Twitter. The postings include an exercise image, the workout name, time, rating and description. Friends and follows can now keep updated with a user’s fitness achievements and get motivated themselves.
