GUANGZHOU, China, Feb. 28 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Mobile Entertainment, Inc.(“Mobile Entertainment”) today announced that the WAP version of a new game, the Ninth Heaven, has commenced online test runs on the cell phone networks of China Mobile and China Unicom.
The Ninth Heaven is a massive multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) shaping a fascinating world of oriental wonders and martial arts. During the test run period, all game subscribers can log into the game free of charge. Upon formal game launch they are required to pay for the in-game gadgets if they wish to enhance their game characters. Such expenses will constitute a split of revenue from the cell phone operator payable to Mobile Entertainment.
Currently Ninth Heaven is being test run on the WAP site of China Mobile and that of China Unicom. The test has been delivering critical data since the end of December 2007 to justify the practicality of Ninth Heaven going live on the new game portal of China Mobile, named “Yi Qi Wan Ba (or Let’s Play Together)” ( http://mcard.gd.chinamobile.com/ ), and that of China Unicom, named “Xuan Mei Guangdong”.
“Our mobile game ‘Journey to the West’ has achieved continuous success on the China Mobile network as distributed by QQ. We are pleased to be working with China Mobile and China Unicom again in the development of this new cell phone game. Tests to date have shown very reliable and repeatable interactivity and an extremely stable operation,” said Conrad Yip, President of Mobile Entertainment.
